Salisbury, Ellis Davis 1851 - 1915

LDS Biographical Encyclopedia, Andrew Jenson, Vol. 4, p.656

Salisbury, Ellis Davis, Bishop of the Alicel Ward, union Stake, Oregon, from 1901 to 1906, was born Aug. 4, 1851, in Flintshire, Wales, a son of Joshua Salisbury and Martha Davis. He was baptized in 1860, emigrated to Utah in 1860, filled a special mission to St. Johns, Arizona, in 1884-1886, and was ordained a High Priest and Bishop June 9, 1901, by Mathias F. Cowley. He died Feb. 20, 1915.
