LDS Biographical Encyclopedia, Andrew Jenson, Vol. 4, p.314 Hedlock, Reuben, president of the British Mission from 1843 to 1845, was set apart for a mission to Great Britain April 6, 1840, laboring successfully in England and Scotland. He returned to America in April, 1841, was ordained a High Priest, Oct. 3, 1841, in Nauvoo, Illinois, and was called to fill another mission to England in 1843, arriving in Liverpool, Sept. 30, 1843. In November, 1843, he was made president of the British Mission, but was released April 6, 1845. |
