SEPTEMBER 1842

Liverpool, England
 
To the first Presidency and the Twelve, Greeting.
 
Dear Brethren, I have only time to say we are all well and in good spirits, and I am coming to Zion with my family as soon as next Spring. if God will. A great fire has just occurred in Liverpool. Burning over six Acres of Ware houses full of Cotton turpentine, etc. some 20 Ship loads of Cotton have been consumed, or rather is now consuming, for the fire is still at its health height, and looks like a burning mountain, at evening alto [. . .]aking the whole town. Distress is unparalleled in this whole country, But the Saints are geting out we send 3 ships this month crowded with emigrants for Nauvoo. first Elder Richards, 2d elder Hyde, 3d Elder Snider
 
Elder Fielding has arived safe, also elder Clark
 
I thank you for all your kind Letters, but have not time to answer them.
