Ward, Thomas 1808 -



Ward, Thomas, president of the British Mission from 1842 to 1843, was born Sept. 5, 1808, in Ludlow, Shropshire, England. He was baptized and took an active part in the Church in England, acting as clerk of the Mission in 1842, as well as joint editor of the "Millennial Star" in that year.

He was appointed president of the British Mission Oct. 10, 1842, by Elder Parley P. Pratt, and acted as editor of the "Star" as well. He was released in November, 1843.
